THIS DESIRABLE FARM

Comprises some good Arable and Pasture Land, and very useful Rough Pasture Enclosures and is conveniently placed within easy reach of the village of Llanfechell

Caerdegog

At one time, the parish of Llanfechell was divided into two units, Llanfechell Caerdegog a Llanfechell Llawr y Llan.

Gweirydd ap Rhys Goch, leader of one of the fifteen tribes of Wales lived here, during the reign of Edward 3rd.

Coat of Arms of Gweirydd ap Rhys Goch, Caerdegog

A century and a half ago Owen Williams, the tenant at the time, challenged two powerful landowners on Anglesey. He won a court action against them.  To celebrate his victory he lit a bonfire on the farm land. To this day, that field is called Cae Coelcerth (Bonfire Field)
